This dryer drum support roller rests in a groove that is located near the rear of the dryer drum. This roller kit comes with 2 tri-rings. Often when a roller is damaged it destroys the rear tri-ring and you may not be aware that one must be installed on the roller shaft before the new roller is installed. Clean the shaft with a rag, and then install a new tri-ring in the groove located at the rear of the shaft. When replacing these rollers, it is not necessary to lubricate the shaft. The sleeve within the roller is impregnated with a lubricant. Adding oil or grease will actually reduce the life of the roller. Install the new roller, and then another tri-ring on the shaft in front of the roller.
