Do you use fabric softener sheets in your Maytag dryer?

Did you know that the use of fabric softener sheets in a dryer can actually plug up the holes on the lint screen? Especially on Maytag dryer lint screens because the holes are very small. To check your lint filter, remove it from the dryer and take it over to the sink. Place it under cold running water and see if the water passes right through the screen. If the water is restricted from going through the screen, the screen is probably plugged up with a fabric softener. Use warm water and a mild brush to clean it.
