Dryer thermostat 5303281113, sometimes called a safety thermostat, is used on Frigidaire, some Kenmore, GE, White-Westinghouse, Gibson, Kelvinator and Tappan gas and electric dryers, laundry centers and dryers stacked on washers.

If your dryer needs this thermostat, you should check for a dryer vent restriction or a shorted heater. When a dryer heater is shorted, it stays partially energized, conducting electricity from one side of the line to ground. This will produce heat and can cause the dryer high limit and or thermal fuse to fail.
