This oval shaped Maytag dryer thermal fuse has 1/4 inch terminals.
If this thermal fuse is open (bad) you should check for a dryer vent restriction or shorted heater. Vent restrictions are the number one reason dryer safety thermostats, thermal cutouts and high limit thermostats stop the heater from heating or open the circuit to the motor causing the dryer to shut down.
