This washer motor is mounted to the leg and dome assembly by four mounting lugs. The motor belt drive pulley is facing downward. This washer motor uses a start capacitor and has two sets of windings, a start winding and a run winding. The start winding has a higher resistance compared to the run winding. The start winding is disengaged, or removed from the circuit by the motor start switch. The switch uses a set of centrifugal weights to move outward when the motor comes up to speed to disengage the contacts that complete the circuit to the start winding. This washer motor runs in one direction for agitate and the other for spin. Therefore, it your washer uses this motor and it will wash but not spin the water out, odds are the problem is not the motor.
