This kit contains a new roller, 2 non-metallic washers and instructions

If your Maytag dryer is rumbling, squeaking or squealing then your rollers may be worn out. This drum support roller kit includes the drum roller and two bearings. All dryers have two drum rollers. You should change both rollers at the same time.

Instructions for installing a Maytag dryer roller kit 12001541

1. Disconnect dryer from power supply
2. Remove the front panel from dryer
3. Remove the front shroud assembly
4. Remove the dryer belt
5. Remove the dryer drum
6. Remove the snap ring that holds the roller on the roller shaft
7. Slide the roller off the shaft
8. Place one non-metallic washer included in the kit onto the roller shaft
9. Install the new roller (do not lubricate)
10. Replace the snap ring on the end of the roller shaft
